About us

Peggy S. Liversidge founded Kitchen Chicks Catering Inc. and Cape Porpoise Kitchen in July 2003. After a 20 year career in marketing and advertising in Boston and New York, Peggy decided to leave corporate America behind to pursue her passion for cooking & entertaining.

She began training with a Culinary Institute of America Certified Chef and completed a classic culinary curriculum ranging from food safety to making the perfect beurre blanc.

In July of 2003, Peggy catered her first upscale brunch at Kennebunk Beach. As a result, four more parties were booked that day and Kitchen Chicks Catering was born.

What started with Peggy as a lone “chick in the kitchen” handling small events on her own, has grown into the well known and sought after company that is it today.

Peggy now caters a wide variety of functions ranging from destination weddings and gala fundraisers to Maine lobster bakes and corporate meetings. Her recipe for success is simple – create menus using the freshest ingredients, attend to every detail, and provide outstanding service so that clients can enjoy a memorable event.
